Rooting Responses of Female and Male Cuttings of <i>Leucadendron elimense</i> E. Phillips subsp. <i>elimense</i> on the Type and Concentration of Auxin

Abstract Female and male plants of difficult-to-root species Leucadendron elimense subsp. were investigated for rooting potential with three hormones: indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), 1-naphthaleneacetic (NAA), indole-3-butyric (IBA) at different concentrations (2000 ppm, 4000 6000 ppm). The experiment was made under essential misting, bottom heat, a naturally ventilated greenhouse. After 18 weeks the terminated callusing percentage, root number, length determined. cuttings rooted in highest percentage (80%), number (&gt;30), (close to 100 mm) after treatment IAA ppm. Under above 70%, mean 24 90 mm. efficient results could aid saving its natural habitat supporting restoration ecology, as well introducing this into flower market.
